-Energy that travels in a straight line through space.

-Light energy is transfered through radiation.

-Radiation is a method of energy transfer that does not require a medium.

Light Waves: light is an electromagnetic wave.

-Visible light is the part of the spectrum humans can see.

-Humans can see wave lengths between approx. 390 to 750 nm. Different colours of light, have different wave lengths that decrease in energy from wiolet to red.

Ultraviolet light is a form of radiation which is not visible to the human eye. It's in an invisible part of the "electromagnetic spectrum". Radiated energy, or radiation, is given off by many objects: a light bulb, a crackling fire, and stars are some examples of objects which emit radiation.

incandescent light bulb, incandescent lamp orincandescent light globe is an electric light with a wire filament heated to a high temperature, by passing an electric current through it, until it glows with visible light(incandescence).
